Biography

Dr. Simon Ofori Ametepey is a Senior Lecturer in Sustainable Infrastructure Development and Director of the Centre for Sustainable Development (CENSUD) at Koforidua Technical University, Ghana. He is also a Senior Research Associate at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, and serves as an Infrastructure and Engineering Consultant to the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD–UN), contributing to major infrastructure and climate resilience programmes across Africa. Dr. Ametepey was appointed by the President of Ghana as a Commissioner of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE). His research focuses on construction project management, sustainable infrastructure development, artificial intelligence, Construction 4.0 and 5.0, digital construction, virtual reality, and infrastructure governance. He has authored three books and more than 70 scholarly publications and serves as Deputy Editor of the Journal of Construction Project Management and Innovation. His work bridges research, policy, and professional practice, advancing sustainable and digitally enabled transformation of the built environment in developing countries through interdisciplinary collaboration, innovation, and capacity building.
